Oracle Forms 6: missing indentifier error [message #82706]

Oracle 8.0.5/Forms 6:
On a new pc we just got, the "missing indetifier" message appears after entering a real number into numeric item. It works OK if the number is an integer.

On all other pcs the same form runs OK, so the problem is pc specific.

seems to me the new pc has a different NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS
check the nls_langanguage setting in the registry.
