I am working as a technical recruiter...
recently i had to place candidates working on oracle apps...
can u please define what is patching and cloning?

to clone: make a copy of
For example, a copy of the production environment can be made to look (in a different environment) at a problem happening in production or if the test environment is outdated.
Patch delivers fully tested and integrated product bug fixes

Hi,
Cloning is a replicated copy of the main instance and patching is applied to solve the bug or to update the existing application
