Exporting data from Forms in EBS error [message #191841]

hi all,
I have recently started facing problem in exporting data to a file from EBS Forms.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The path is as
File--------->Export.
Note: I am talking about 11.5.7

What sort of problem have you been facing? Does the form give an error message? Which form are you using?

Export will only work where the form has a block containing multiple records and the cursor is sitting in that block.

hi david,
There is only one supplier against which the data is not exported on invoices form i.e when we press export a red line flushes and nothing is exported. There are about 280 records in the block being exported.
For other suppliers having more than 300 rows data is exported successfully.

Fakhar,

It sounds like there might be some sort of "bad" character(s) in your data. Talk to your APPS DBA and see if he/she can query the data using SQL. If there is/are some strange characters, you should raise an SR with Oracle Support and have them help you to correct it.

hi david,
what do you mean by "bad" characters? I have queried the data and there seems to be none of un-understandable characters.
what you say?

I mean characters that do not display properly, or cause problems on the form, like causing the form to close.

If the Export works properly for other Suppliers, then there must be a problem with this Supplier or the Invoice data for this Supplier.

I suggest that you open an SR with Oracle Support.
